My grandmother had a stroke on 2/23/04 and when I told Deb Adamson about it, she graciously invited my sister Jennifer and myself to stay at her house if we needed a place to stay while in Chicago. After a 22 hour trip and seeing how many people were stashed at my aunt's and grandmother's house, we gladly accepted and on Friday evening made it to her house. We talked until after 3 am, even though Lynn, Ward, and my sister gave up long before Deb and I did. On Saturday, Deb and Ward took us out to eat at an oriental restaurant before we had to go back to the hospital and on the way back that evening, Jen and I stopped at Wendy's and got salads and burgers for everybody. This photo was taken just before we left on Sunday morning before one last stop at the hospital and then heading back to Texas. When Deb and I first started chatting online, we felt right off that we were "sisters" and this trip only confirmed it for me.
