Applying a Procedural Marble Texture

Use Procedural Marble Texture:

Left-clicking on the Use Procedural Marble Texture button applies the current marble texture to the object

Marble Settings:

Right-clicking on the Use Procedural Marble Texture button brings up the marble settings panel.

Changing colors, intensity & transparency:

Left-clicking on the color button next to stonecol & veincol brings up the color panel for that square where you can change the color, intensity and transparency for the main stone color and the vein color.

Grain: Grain determines along which axis the vein follows.  You can only choose one at a time.
Turbulence:

Turbulence = 0; 2; 5

Turbulence determines how "ziggity" the vein is. This field can have values from 0 to 10.

Sharpness:

Sharpness determines which color is more in focus in the texture. This field can have values from 0 to 1. The images in the above table cell have the sharpness set to 0.8, while this example has the setting at 0.33.

Scale: Scale determines how many veins there are along each axis. The larger the value, the more veins the material will have. These fields can have values from 0 to 10.
Example:

The Procedurals 3 page deals with using procedural wood textures.
