| Use Procedural Wood Texture: |
Left-clicking on the Use Procedural Wood Texture applies the current wood texture to the object. |
| Wood Settings: |
Right-clicking on the Use Procedural Wood Texture brings up the wood settings panel. |
| Changing colors, intensity & transparency: |
Left-clicking on the color square next to springwd or summerwd brings up the color panel for that square where you can change the color, intensity, and transparency for them. Spring wood is the wood that is produced during the summer and is usually lighter in color than wood produced during the summer. |
| Grain: |
Grain determines along which of the object axes the wood grain flows. You can only choose one axis at a time. |
| Spring vs Summer |
Spr:Sum determines which wood color is more prominent. This field can have a value from 0 to 1. |
| Ring Density: |
Ring Density determines how many rings there are in the texture. This field can have a value from 0 to 10. |
| Width Variety: |
Width Vary determines the variety of sizes between the rings. This field can have a value from 0 to 1. |
| Shape Variety: |
Shape Vary determines the shape fo the rings from round (0) to really wierd (1). This field can have a value from 0 to 1 |
| Seed: |
Seed determines the base value used to create the wood texture. Once this value is determined, all the rest of the settings build on it. This field can have a value from 0 to 32767. |
| Scale: |
Scale determines along which axes the grain flows. You can set one, two or three axes. These fields can have a value from 0 to 10. Setting Scale X to 1 and the others to 0, means that the grain only flows along the x-axis |
