| This is the main window of the Objaction
Mover 1.01 by Maz.
I did a screen capture of each field label and combined them into one.

| Before we go any further, I'm
sure that you are asking the following question: "Why did the person
who created this figure, encode it using the Objaction Mover in the first
place. Couldn't they just give me the Poser file?" No, because this
figure was created by modifying a file that either came with Poser3 or
Poser4 or was purchased from Zygote or another source. These
companies/people spent a lot of time and/or money creating these
figures. When you purchase Poser or a figure/object from a company,
you are not actually buying that software or figure. You are purchasing
one (1) license to use that software or object under the terms of use
specified when you opened/loaded the software on your computer or
purchased the figure/object. |
| If the author of the modified
Poser Figure gave you the complete Poser file and you did not own the
original figure, they would be violating their license and could have
their software and/or purchased figure revoked by the company they
purchased it from. For example, if I had Poser3, I would not be able to
convert the Poet Boots because they were created by modifying the Cowboy
boots that are included with Poser4. I wouldn't have a license to use
those boots unless I purchased Poser4. Now, shall we continue? |
| We are going to decode a file to create a
Poser compatible obj. I just happen to want to decode the Poet Boots
I downloaded from Poser World. I have Poser 4, so this is not a problem.
To encode a modified file, just reverse the process. |
| Back to the Mover program. Click on the
radio button next to 'Decode', notice the blue arrows that now point up from the
'Difference' field to the 'Figure' field. This shows that we will be
converting the difference file to the modified Poser figure. (I'm assuming
that the difference file contains only the differences between the
original obj file and the modified one.)
|
 |
| We need to select the difference file
now. This file will be the .pcf file you downloaded. Click on the
'Difference File' button. |
 |
| Locate the .pcf file you want to convert and
open it.
This should be in the directory you unzipped the downloaded file
into. Since I have ZipMagic, my computer sees the zip file as just
another folder.
|
 |
| The .pcf file is now loaded. The 'Figure File'
field shows what the new .obj file name will be and the directory it will
be stored in. |
 |
| Now we need to locate the 'Original Seed
File'. This is the file that the author of the modified Poser figure used
to create his new one. |
 |
| The Poet Boots were created by modifying the
Poser 4 Left Cowboy boot.
I changed directories to:
Poser4/Runtime/Geometries/
Poser4Clothes/Shoes
then selected and opened the 'cowBootL.obj' file.
|
 |
| Here's the Mover window after I loaded the
cowBootL.obj file. |
 |
| Click on the 'Convert' button. |
 |
| Mover will chunk away and when it is
finished doing it's magic, the 'Conversion Complete' popup will ... ummm...
pop up. |
 |
| In Windows, locate the directory where you
unzipped the original files, open the readme.txt file (or whatever it is
named) and follow the instructions for placing the files in your Poser3 or
Poser4 directories.
That's it! Have fun!

downloaded from Renderosity.com,
just go to the Poser Free Stuff section, click on Search and look for
'mover'. |
